1964 Ferrari 250LM #6045 - Arizona, USA

1964 250LM 6045. Reconstructed by Fossil Motorsports (CA) and Roelof's (Holland) from the burned Bill Harrah car, based on the original engine block with the correct internal serial number, original serial number-stamped chassis member, steering rack, water radiator, hubs, seat frame, door frame and one fuel tank.
The chassis, but for the serial no. stamped crossmember, was manufactured new by Fossil, copied from Fossil's other LM, 6023. The body was recreated by the original fabricators in Italy. Remains of the original body go with the car.
The car is correct in all details but for the aluminum wheels, selected for their increased strength as the type recommended by David Piper for vintage racing. The original Colotti LM gearbox was internally strengthened with stronger dog rings and the hubs were fitted with larger wheel bearings. Presently street licensed, this car would make a beautiful and very strong vintage racer. $600,000.00 USD .
